“Share your Date”: this new Tinder tool allows you to give information to your loved ones about your next date

Cette nouvelle fonctionnalité permet aux utilisateurs de Tinder de partager un lien avec des personnes de leur entourage pour les informer sur leur prochain rendez-vous.

According to a recent Tinder survey, 51% of singles under 30 already tell their friends the details of their dates. This Monday, April 22, 2024, the Tinder platform launched "Share your Date", a feature allowing you to share information about his next meeting with people around him.

"We continue to deliver new features that aim to create a fun, safe, and respectful experience for everyone" , said Melissa Hobley, CMO of Tinder.

A simple link

"Through a simple link and directly from the application, users can share information about their appointment, including the location, date, time and a photo of their date", Tinder explained in a press release. Users will be able to choose who they want to share this information with.

They will also be able to create alerts in the application to notify those around them, up to 30 days before the date in question. These alerts can be modified, to warn those around them of a last minute change.

A safer experience

This new feature aims to provide a safer experience for its users. An indirect link with recent news, notably the case of the "Tinder rapist" who is accused by 17 women approached on dating sites between 2014 and 2016 of rape or sexual assault. He was sentenced on Friday March 29, 2024 by the Paris Criminal Court to 18 years in prison, two thirds of which were secured, for 12 rapes and three sexual assaults.

The dating application also aims to "simplify this sharing of information so that singles focus on themselves and preparing for their meeting."
