The Champeau clinic, the Biterrois Medical Imaging, in partnership with the Bélise institute, are setting up a telephone number, effective immediately, to structure and centralize appointment needs related to breast pathologies.

This is a specific telephone number, coupled with a dedicated email address. A new access door, which aims to be the widest possible, to the diagnosis and care linked to breast emergencies. in Béziers. This Monday, May 21, the Champeau clinic, in partnership with the Biterrois medical imaging and the Bélise institute, officially launched "SOS Breast", a system effective from now.

"There is a lack of understanding of territorial support", underlines Alexandre Boris François, director of Ax Santé group (Champeau and Causse clinics). The idea is therefore "to open the doors"and to facilitate access to the provision of care dedicated to breasts and women in Biterrois. "In continuing the work of co-building a network and through a path in primary care", complete Hélène Harmand, general practitioner and co-founder of Bélise, the Ouest Languedoc breast institute, an association which supports women with breast cancer.

"We centralize appointment needs regarding breast pathologies"

Behind "SOS Breast", a secretary from the Champeau clinic who was herself affected by the disease, will be on duty and will receive calls and messages. "This number will allow precise feedback, for professionals or patients", continues Alexandre Boris François. Behind, specific slots have been set up. Three gynecologists organized a schedule accordingly. "We thus centralize the appointment needs concerning breast pathologies. And in 48 hours, the patient was able to see the gynecologist, the medical imaging department and Bélise if necessary… Beyond emergencies, this can also be addressed to a woman who has not had her mammogram for 3 years or is responding to simple stress", explains Sophie Poujol, radiologist specializing in breast imaging in the Medical Imaging group in Biterrois. "We're almost going on an adventure, we'll adapt as we go", smiles Alexandre Boris François who knows the need to communicate the know-how of the Champeau clinic in the management of breast pathologies (surgery, reconstruction, oncology). "SOS sein, it's one of the bricks of this pole of skills", summarizes Bernard Tison, the Bélise's secretary. "And it meets high expectations."

A telephone number to note

Concretely, in the event of detection of a lump, deformation, inflammation or even in the event of stress linked to a suspicion of breast pathology, it is now possible to call 07 50 75 70 20 or send an email to #39;following address: sos-sein@clinique-champeau.fr Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A secretary from the Chapeau clinic receives calls.
