Stopover in Sète 2024: Vivi Navarro will present her new book “Passion sailboats”

Sète artist Vivi Navarro will sell her latest work Passion voiliers, the fruit of her travel diaries on old rigging, during Stopover in Sète.

To all honor, it is through ten pages devoted to the Belem, invited this year for Stopover in Sète ,  that Vivi Navarro, the Sète painter very interested in maritime matters, opens her new work entitled Passion voiliers.

Sketches and paintings of old boats

This book of around a hundred pages brings together "excerpts from my travel diaries that I show to anyone" as well as paintings of some beautiful floating units. Like the Belem therefore, but also the Santa Maria, the Nao Victoria, l'Hermione, la Recouvrance, the Sedov or the Kruzenshtern. "There has a bit of historical and technical text but I had to make a big selection from my list of boats because I have a lot of them and didn't have a lot of places", she said. "Maybe one day, I will release a volume 2".

For sale, quai d'Algiers during Stopover

En attendant Volume 1 will be on sale during the maritime traditions festival (March 26-April 1) in the stand of the Sétoise artist, quai from Algiers.
