Strike on the Tango transport network in Nîmes: the inter-union hardens the social movement

The inter-union reacted strongly to the Agglo's latest media releases on the subject of the social movement and the absence of signing a social pact. This Monday, January 15, the strike will take an even harsher turn on the Tango network.

This Monday, January 15, a new strike will impact the Nîmes urban lines of the Tango public transport network with disruptions announced until Friday, every day, from 6:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and from 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. In a very long press release, the inter-union (SNTU-CFDT, CGT, CFC-CGC) considers in particular that the latest media outings of Claude de Girardi, elected community delegate for road transport urban and peri-urban travelers (Midi Libre of January 10), strengthened the determination of employees who are asking the Agglo to sign a social pact.

"The outbreak of the strike movement resulted from ten months of alerts, letters, requests for meetings, a call for mediation from the mayor of Nîmes and a letter to the mayor of Nîmes. all the elected representatives of the Agglo", underline the unions.

For them, the signed social pact would not hinder the tender procedure, a document from a specialized legal firm "indicates that it’ is feasible. (…) She affirms that the employees have lost nothing with the public service delegations but we have gone from 33 p.m. to 35 p.m. (…) Since 2015, we have lost more than a million kilometers in operation, subcontracting has increased significantly. We went from 450 to 360 employees."

The inter-union notes that the new delegatee will have to observe a period of 15 months without calling into question the social pact, but after… As for subcontracting, the employees affirm that they also concern other lines that schools: L11, 12, 13, 17, 20, 21, 22, 31, 32, 33, 41, 42, 43, 51, 52, 61, 62, 70 to 89, airport shuttle and Allo bus.

In the interview given to Midi Libre, Claude de Girardi asked employees for patience because the new delegate will be known in a month and for trust. The unions recall Annex 2 of more than 70 pages of the last DSP contract "a document which presaged a tsunami for employees. We could have taken his words into consideration if Nîmes Métropole had at least had the audacity to take responsibility for assuming this political line in the eyes of the employees and also the administrators of the metropolis."< /p>

The social movement at Tango is therefore set to harden unless there is a meeting, very improbable today, between the representatives of the Agglo and those of the employees.

Urban lines that will not run

From Monday January 15 to Friday January 19, from 6:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and from 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., the urban lines of the Tango network will not run due to social unrest among employees. Here are the impacted lines: T1, T2, T3, T4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16.
