L'APPLE et des lycéens organisent un loto à la salle multiculturelle de Bagnols ce dimanche 3 mars. L'objectif est de lever des fonds pour un voyage scolaire à Oxford prévu en 2025.

Since the start of the school year, students in first STI2D (science and technology of industry and sustainable development) at the Albert-Einstein high school in Bagnols have been working on a school trip project to Oxford, in England, for next year. "Oxford is an important research territory, a bit like Marcoule, indicates Charles-Henri Roché, professor of STI2D and co-teacher in English technical. It's also an interesting city in terms of heritage. We wanted to go to an English-speaking country to be uninhibited about English. Even for students in the technological baccalaureate, English is essential."

"Involve and unite students"

This professor created the Association of Teachers and Staff of the Einstein High School (APPLE) to "facilitate" administrative procedures. "The idea is to start collective work now to involve and unite the students as much as possible.& ;quot; Fifty-six students, divided into two classes, and their teachers work to define the broad outlines of their trip in order to present the project to the board of directors ;#39;high school administration next June so that management can validate it. "We still need to refine the budget", indicates the president of APPLE. For the moment, the school trip is costed at 40,000 euros. "We are giving ourselves the means to have the necessary budget so that both classes can leave. If we are in an exchange system, it will be revised downwards since students will be able to be accommodated for free."

The young people are currently working on preparing the lottery for this Sunday, March 3 (2 p.m. in the multicultural room), the first event organized to raise funds. "It also allows students to gain self-confidence and get out of the school environment", comments their teacher who wishes to perpetuate the project for the next years.
