Subsidiary of Ikea, RetourMat specializing in mattress recycling sets up in South Aveyron

For the moment, the Dutch chefs are happy to take possession of 6,000 m2… empty! The thinking heads of RetourMat actually collected the keys to their premises in the Millau-Larzac commercial area this Monday morning. In the afternoon, they invited the press for a quick tour of the owner, but above all, to present their baby. The company, established in the Netherlands, England and Belgium, specializes in mattress recycling. If this exists in France with artisanal methods, it has the particularity of automating this practice and therefore of having a greater reception capacity. < em>"From 200,000 to 800,000 mattresses", claims Chico Van Hemert, the CEO of the company, still at odds with the language of Molière but present on the Larzac to take possession of the place.

11 jobs created in September

For the moment, 11 jobs are planned and hoped for September 2024, date on which the start of the activity is scheduled. "We still need to buy machines and plan recruitment", notes Ivan Van Es, the company's France director. It will begin in particular at the TAF (Work Future Training) exhibition, organized by the Occitanie Region, which facilitates the installation of the Dutch on the Larzac. The next one is scheduled for March 27 in Millau. "We hope to go up to 40 jobs created within 3-4 years" , he announces. 

Mattresses recovered from Toulouse to Marseille

So that the company continues to grow and so that it receives more and more material to recycle, it plans to recover mattresses from the South of France,  "from Toulouse to Marseille", specifies the France director. &quot ;We came across here because we were looking for land in the South of France, we looked as far as Nîmes or Marseille but ultimately, here it was well placed."< /em>
