After a few dates in Gard, the Tournée de Midi Libre returned to Hérault this Thursday July 18 with a stop between Larzac and Salagou in Lodève.

This Thursday, July 18, before settling in at the Maison Méditerranéenne des Vins in Grau-du-Roi at the end of the afternoon, the Summer Tour made a stopover in the emblematic town of Lodeve. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., she took place in Rialto Square, just in front of the Tourist Office. With its Gothic Saint-Fulcran cathedral, the Fleury museum and its rich past linked to textiles, this small town of 7,500 inhabitants offers a remarkable heritage to discover. Labeled “City of Art and History” since 2006, Lodève has been ideal for living but also for spending your holidays. « When people come to us in the summer, they stay there for a very long time, because they feel so good there,” rejoices Mayor Gaëlle Lévêque, describing her town as “the best place to live.” city ​​of possibilities ».

A territory with many facets

The diversity of activities offered, such as excursions to Salagou Lake, the Navacelles cirque, nautical activities and a visit to the soap factory, ensure varied and original days. In addition, the region also hosts three major festivals: Résurgence, Roc Castel and Retour à Neuf (read opposite).
Several local actors came to present all these assets on the media stage, hosted by Laurent. Several renovations in progress  

To continue to promote the area, the municipality has launched several major renovation projects. The Beaumont stadium will benefit from a synthetic turf and a sports center, according to the mayor « all this should see the light of day in a year and a half ». Also, Grézac Park will be completely redone. This 7,000 square meter space, currently concreted, will be planted with vegetation and transformed into a friendly place with a sports field for the most motivated and deckchairs for those looking for relaxation.

The festivals not to be missed this summer

Resurgence: from Thursday July 18 to Saturday July 21, the Resurgence festival is back for its tenth year with more than forty appointments over four days. Lodève will live to the rhythm of street theater, circus, dance and concerts.
Roc castel: from July 25 to 28 it is the Caylar which will be celebrating with activities focused on slow travel whether at on foot, by bike, or with animals. Everything is freely accessible
Refurbished: from August 2 to 4 and for its 25th edition the music and theater festival will enliven the streets of Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière.
