The RN88 closed the nights of May 13 to 17 from Mende to Balsièges (Lozère) for work on a railway bridge

La RN88 sera fermée pendant quatre nuits, de 20h à 6h, du 13 au 17 mai 2024. Des déviations sont mises en place.

The DIR Massif Central informs users that traffic on the RN88 will have to be temporarily interrupted between the Déclic roundabout (roundabout of the RN1088 ring road & Mende exit) and the Balsièges crossroads (crossroads with the RN106). The SNCF must in fact carry out maintenance work on a railway bridge located at PR55 + 200, near the Pont Neuf.

This operation will take place during the nights of Monday 13 to Friday May 17 2024 (4 nights), from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Diversions will be put in place place.

The deviations

For light vehicles (GVW less than or equal to 3.5t): a diversion will be put in place in both directions of traffic between the Barjac crossroads (crossroads with the RD142) and the Mendozère roundabout (connection with the RD42). The route of
detour will take the RD42, 142 and the RN88.

For users in transit between Mende and the A75 and more particularly heavy goods vehicles (GVW greater than 3, 5t): the diversion route will take the RN88, RD806 and the A75 (Saint-Chély-d’Apcher), in both directions of traffic;

For users in transit between Mende and Nîmes and more particularly heavy goods vehicles : the route detour will take the RN88, RD806, A75 (Saint-Chély-d’Apcher), RN88 and RN106, in both directions of traffic.
