Thunderstorms, showers, sunny spells… what weather to expect for the Pentecost weekend ?

According to Météo France, the weather will be unstable with showers sometimes very strong, but also episodes of clearing.

A Saturday between sun and gray

This Saturday, France will be divided in two: the sun in the east, in Corsica and in the South-West then grayness for the rest of the territory with temperatures ranging from 12°C and 21°C. In the afternoon, showers are forecast almost everywhere, but in particular along the Loire Valley and in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms with hail.

However, the Mediterranean coast will be under the bright sun. Clearings will also be expected in Brittany and New Aquitaine. Expected temperatures will be between 14 °C and 25 °C.

A generally sunny Sunday

This Sunday, the weather will improve particularly in the morning with predominant sunshine, sometimes mixed with mist throughout the country except on the Basque coast where thunderstorms are expected. Temperatures will be between 10 °C and 17 °C.

In the afternoon, the situation evolves with showers over most of the northern half of the country. The north of Hauts-de-France, the west of Normandy and Burgundy-Franche-Comté will be spared. The south-east should remain under the sun despite occasional hazy skies. It will be between 17 °C and 23 °C.

A mixed Monday

This Pentecost Monday, the weather will still be mixed. In the morning, the western part of the country except the northern part will be affected by rain and thunderstorms. The minimums will be 12 °C and the maximums will be 18 °C.

In the afternoon, stormy showers will increase especially south of the Loire. The north of the Loire will remain more or less under the sun between clearing and grayness. The temperatures will be between 15 °C and 22 °C.
