En mai, des longues files se sont formées sur l’Everest, le plus haut sommet du monde, pouvant provoquer des chutes mortelles.
In a video shot on May 21, 2024, we can see mountaineers, queuing to reach the summit of Everest, being victims of rsquo;an accident. A piece of cornice fell, taking six climbers with it. Four were saved by the rope to which they were attached. The other two are missing.

Traffic jams at the top of Everest
This phenomenon has been increasing on the highest peak in the world since the beginning of spring, the most favorable season for climbing Everest. Endless lines therefore form on the path to the Himalayas, the ascent of which becomes more and more perilous.

Two Kenyan and Nepalese mountaineers died near the summit of Everest in Nepal, the Nepalese Tourism Department announced this Thursday, May 23. At least four deaths occurred during the mountaineering season on the world's highest mountain.
