Tree pruning, installation of public lighting… details of the work planned soon on the Island of Thau

À partir du début de la semaine prochaine, la Ville va entamer un plan d’élagage des arbres des parkings et cours d’immeubles du quartier de l’Île de Thau. Des lampadaires seront aussi installés.

Some inhabitants of the Island of Thau have been waiting for the measure "for a long time", it will finally take place . Starting next week, the town hall will begin its plan to prune trees in the neighborhood. For all periods mentioned below, parking in the various car parks will be prohibited by municipal decree. The company Philip Frères will be in charge of the work.

The program:

From Monday February 5 to Friday February 9, pruning of the plane trees will begin in the parking lot and the courtyard of the Véradier building (zone 1 on the map).

Then, from Wednesday February 7 to Friday February 15, it will be the turn of the trees near the Seinchole building (n° 10, 11 and 12) and along Avenue Antoine de Saint -Exupéry to lose their branches (zone 2 on the map).

Concerning these first locations, work to install public lighting is planned in parallel, from Monday February 12. They will last a maximum of five weeks.

The following prunings, from Tuesday February 13 to Friday February 23, will be those of the parking lot and the courtyard of the Lamparo building (n° 6, 7, 8 and 9), with in addition the part between the building and avenue Antoine de Saint-Exupéry; from boulevard Pierre-Mendes-France; at the rear of the Globe building; from avenue Guynemer; passages of Thonnaire and Cannas; and places du Chalut and de la Traîne (zone 3 and 5 on the map).

Finally, from Wednesday February 21 to Thursday February 29, the cutting will end with the trees of the Gangui building (n° 62 and 63) and of the Place du Bouleichou in the car parks (zone 4 on the plan).
