Triathlon: Sétois Antony Costes tanned in the USA and qualified for the Worlds

Le Sétois a terminé troisième de l’Ironman 70.3 de Saint George.

The spearhead of Sète Thau Triathlon finished the Ironman of Saint George in third place.

He did his back-to-school race in Valencia (Spain) on the Ironman circuit. A 70.3 event which had no less than 91 registered in the "pro" man category, which mainly served Antony Costes to gauge himself after a long winter preparation.

In the end, the spearhead of Sète Thau Triathlon would have hoped for better than tenth place, but the main thing was elsewhere. Beyond the Atlantic more precisely. The first big objective of his season actually took him, two weeks later, to the United States for the 70.3 in Saint George (Utah).

And there, the Sétois took the bronze medal. « This is my best performance in this North American championship, at the cost of an epic battle at the end of the race that was quite incredible to experience. »

This third place is synonymous with qualification for the Ironman 70.3 world championship, which will take place in New Zealand next December.
