National police officers reinforced by CRS bikers and municipal police officers increased road checks last week in Nîmes and Alès.
In Nîmes, a motorist who was driving at 140 km/hour (the speed is limited to 70 km/hour) was fined. In total, 22 tickets for excessive speed were issued, nine driving licenses were “withheld”. Drivers tested positive for narcotics or had drunk too much. An Uber driver without a license was fined for concealed work.
