The boat and its crew are transporting medical equipment and toys to Ukrainians in the Odessa region.

After a departure delayed by bad weather, the SEA Medics sailboat left the port of Sète at the beginning of February to reach Ukraine, via Romania, loaded in particular with medical equipment and toys.

A humanitarian and human adventure imagined by Hérault skipper Erick Coll, who embarked on his former racing boat a crew made up of citizens eager to get involved.

Heading for the Bosphorus Strait

This Friday, the crew and their cargo were in Myrina, on the island of Limnos, Greece, a stone's throw from the Bosphorus Strait, their gateway # 39;entrance to the port of Constata.

"We were a little late due to bad winds and an engine problem, the use of which will be mandatory in the strait. But the crew and the boat are doing well", specifies Julia, a Sétoise engaged on the SEA Medics. The humanitarian cargo must then cross the Ukrainian border by road, towards Odessa.
