This Tuesday at 8 p.m., MHSC VB faces Alterna Stade Poitevin Volley-ball in the semi-final of the Coupe de France with the ambition of reaching the third final in the history of ;#39;a club which has never won the competition.

If they have not yet completely come to terms with their history, the players of the MHSC VB have taken the path. This Monday, they arrived in Poitiers to play a Coupe de France semi-final on Tuesday evening (8 p.m.).

After two defeats in the final of the event in 2008 and 2010, they have the unique opportunity to return to Paris to try to add a new trophy to their list of achievements. The people of Hérault have also prepared themselves perfectly for this decisive moment. Since eliminating Toulouse in the quarter-finals of the national competition (3-1), Nicolas Le Goff and his partners have made an impression by outclassing Tourcoing (3-1) and Tours (3-0) at home in the championship. In the meantime, they went to Poitiers to send a first strong message to their future opponent (3-0 success).

Le Marrec: "Let the stakes not kill the game"

The MHSC VB is therefore in full possession of its means: "We had a great performance against Tours, believes coach Loic Le Marrec. But the Coupe de France is another adventure, another story. Everyone knows that this semi-final is important, that we must approach it with concentration so that the stakes do not kill the game. We hope to be on the same line as what was at stake. rsquo;we have produced so far."

To achieve this, Montpellier will have to rely on its strengths like its effectiveness in the block: "It’is our identity, we are a team strong in this area, continues Le Marrec. We continue to work on it in training. We know that it can exhaust the opponent."

The Héraultais will also be able to count on the return to grace of passer Raphaël Corre, voted best player of the match against Tours on Saturday. In full possession of his means, the French international brings serenity to the team: "I can also bring energy, motivation, fight, completes- he. Tuesday, we will have to rely on the last match in Poitiers even if we should not expect an identical match. We know it will be difficult for us."

Baptiste: "We are all behind them"

For their part, the Montpellier supporters are ready to vibrate from a distance with their protégés: "We have to get the place in the final", urges Guy Richard, one of the most fervent among them. "We're all behind them", says Baptiste, member of Magic Gate, the supporters group created this season.

The MHSC VB will meet its story in the final on March 30 in Paris. But before that, we will have to overcome the Poitevin obstacle. Montpellier residents have ample means.
