At the Rabine stadium, this Friday, May 31, there will be nearly 800 Béziers residents to support their ASBH team in the Pro D2 semi-final against Vannes.

This Monday, May 27 in the morning, as soon as it opened, ASBH supporters were massed in large numbers in front of the ticket office, a few steps from the Raoul-Barrière stadium. They were not afraid of the 900 km to travel to reach the Rabine stadium in Vannes. They wanted to make this trip, this Friday, May 31, to support their team.

In front of the entrance, the Les Brennus supporters association is already taking registrations for the bus journey. The number of registrants is rising very quickly, the fervor in Béziers is at its peak, just a few hours after the great victory against Brive, last Friday May 24, in a Raoul-Barrière des grands soirs stadium.< /p>

"We can't miss this match!"

In an ASBH car, we even see Gabin Lorre, the rear of the ASBH, who has come to look for places for his loved ones, he greets the supporters before leaving. A telephone rings, recognizable among a thousand to anyone who has ever been to the stadium: the "Aqui es Besiers" by Floréal Vaquerin, sung before each home meeting.

In the queue, two young men are stamping their feet with impatience, Jordan, 19 years old, and Nicolas, 22 years old. "We are from Béziers by birth, and proud of it, they emphasize, with a smile on their lips. We play rugby in Corneilhan, we come to the stadium whenever we can. Last week (for the play-off match against Brive, Editor's note), we were unable to come. This match in Vannes, we can't miss it, it's not every day that we're in the semis!".< /p>

"It’s emotionally incredible"

Aymeric, 37, is also enjoying this moment. He had a wonderful season. “It's incredible emotionally. In the Béziers DNA, there has always been a solid forward pack, and now, in addition, we produce play. It's attractive to the public. We had a complicated start and then, when the Portuguese returned from the World Cup, things took off. I've been following the club since I was little with my father, I'll be in Vannes for this semi-final. And I hope to go to Toulouse*!”.

Members of the Rugbiterre supporters' association since 2008, the year it was created, Jean-Michel, 45 years old and Julien, 52 years old, will also be making the trip. “It's huge, magnificent, they rejoice. It's been over 20 years since we've experienced this. We're going to take the bus, with friends, load the drums and flags, and we're going to break our voices to shout louder than the Vannetais on Friday night!”.

*The final will take place at the Ernest-Wallon stadium in Toulouse on Saturday, June 8 at 5:30 p.m. I subscribe to read the rest
