The owner of a foal born prematurely in the Lot gives news of his health on social networks to try to save him. The animal is unable to stand.

“You have 3 minutes 40 to change his life”. Since May 16, 2024, the day of Oplah's premature birth, his breeder has been trying to save this purebred Arabian foal. The animal, born a good thirty days early, is suffering from several pathologies, including leg problems that prevent it from standing up.

“He was unable to suckle his mother”

With his wife, Benjamin Zimra, manager of a farm in Escamps, in the Lot, fed the foal every two hours with a bottle. It is "very difficult for him to get up", describes the breeder and he has not been able to suckle his mother.

"Strength of character"

Little Oplah has a dislocation of his right posterior, requiring life-saving surgery. In order to raise the amount necessary for this operation, Benjamin Zimra shares the story of the foal on his TikTok account.

"We want to fight"

"A foal that is born is a member of our family. We take care of it as if it were one of us. […] We are breeders so we fight for our animals", comments the owner of Oplah on his TikTok account.

"We do all this because he shows exceptional courage and character. It’s true that when an animal is fighting for its life, we don’t want to give up. We want to fight alongside him.
