The alleged perpetrator of these acts, tried in immediate appearance this Thursday, April 4, at the Alès court, is a young man of just twenty years old. Involved in the accident, he is also suspected of a hit-and-run after the impact, in addition to unintentional injuries. Aggravating circumstance, he drives without a license, at excessive speed in a Renault Clio. After going to meet the two bikers on the ground, he suddenly leaves the scene of the accident as a police patrol arrives in their direction.

Two opposing versions

The suspended sentence is revoked: prison sentence

But for the prosecution, which requires six months in prison with a committal warrant, and a revocation of the suspension of the previous sentence, "stopping must allow to define the responsibilities of all the people involved in the accident. "Please, with 40 hours in police custody, I’ve learned my lesson. Going to prison at 20 years old is not pretty. Hurting your family is not okay either", adds the defendant, addressing his family present in the room .

The defendant ultimately receives one year in prison, including eight months suspended on probation. Two months of reprieve granted during his previous conviction are revoked. Omar is incarcerated for six months in Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone.
