Le Purple campus d'Alès, a ouvert ses portes ce samedi 3 février, pour présenter ses formations et les opportunités disponibles aux visiteurs venues à leur rencontre.

The Purple Campus, administered by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Gard, opened its doors this Saturday morning to young people wishing to learn about the different proposed sectors. With multiple partnerships with local businesses and training based on work-study programs, the Alesian campus continues to attract people to its premises.

This was the case of Enzo Ducorps, a former student who came, during this open day, to tell his story. «I was able to complete fifteen months of training in this apprentice training center. We have very in-depth courses, where teachers can support us when we have difficulties. I previously trained in Marseille; I came to Alès on purpose to obtain a diploma as a repair mechanic for old and historic vehicles, because it is the only one in the South that is offered», explains Enzo, who now works in the garage where he was able to do his work-study training.

For the start of the September school year, the establishment, a victim of its success in the sector, will open a third mechanics class. «Our goal is to meet the needs of businesses. Young people are attracted by work-study programs. What appeals to them is the practical part and the attractiveness of the salary», declares Nathalie Rivenq, the Campus manager.

Bac+2 level training in partnership with Montpellier

In total, sixteen work-study training courses are offered by the Quai des Prés Rasclaux establishment, with sectors in the automobile industry, the hotel and catering industry, and the field of health, sales and commerce, distribution and SME management. «The vision of learning has changed. The 91% professional integration rate is attractive. Work-study training is the path to excellence», assures Mathilde Armanet, the Purple Campus communications manager.

The apprentice training center (CFA) now offers a bac+2 university diploma, in partnership with the Faculty of Pharmacy of Montpellier, for pharmacy technician. It was also possible for those interested to take the test on site to join this training. The next open day of the establishment will take place on Saturday March 30.
