Zac de Meyrargues in Vendargues: justice lifts a brake, the public utility investigation will begin

The Toulouse administrative court of appeal has just confirmed the judgment of the Montpellier administrative court which had rejected the request for cancellation of the concession awarded, a request presented by an unsuccessful candidate. The public utility investigation will be launched these days.

The administrative court of appeal of Toulouse has just confirmed the judgment of the administrative court of Montpellier which had rejected the request for cancellation of the concession awarded for the Zac de Meyrargues, request presented by an unsuccessful candidate, the company Roxim Management.

The commune of Vendargues awarded, in 2019, the GGL Aménagement-GGL Groupe-Hectare group the concession for this concerted development zone in the sector of the hamlet of Meyrargues, with a value estimated at 38 million euros over a period of thirteen years.

The Toulouse court established that all candidates for this award have "had all the financial elements and preliminary studies necessary for the drafting of offers them under conditions consistent with the principles of free access to public procurement, transparency and equal treatment". This is what is arbitrated.

The public inquiry launched in March

"This is not the first judgment, comments Guy Lauret, the mayor of Vendargues. They have been rejected four times… Now, we can't wait to move forward! As part of the DUP (1), the public inquiry will be launched these days, during March."

The project of Meyrargues, a medieval hamlet of Vendargues which today has around ten families, plans, on 23 hectares, the creation of some 850 housing units, including 30% social housing, one senior residence, a nursery and a school group. That is to say some 1,500 more people in this sector located along the Departmental 613, between the Lidl and Leclerc roundabouts, on the Meyrargues side.
