Handball: Frontignan makes it three, leader of Proligue

Les Héraultais ont fait preuve de maîtrise, ce vendredi 20 septembre, face à des Nancéiens privés de solutions (41-34).

Frontignan Thau Handball is not weakening. This Friday, in their Ferrari lair, Guillaume Crépain's men signed the third pass. After having brought down Saran then Cherbourg, they settled the score with a Nancy team that could never really have any hope.

Very quickly, thanks to an aggressive defense and five consecutive saves by Diot, the Frontignanais escaped at 6-2. Nancy lost balls, Pages repelled a penalty and Diot maintained his authority (11-6).

The Nancy team tried to get closer but, while the supporters were slightly trembling, Lignières took over the running of operations and made life difficult for the opposing goalkeeper by scoring all of his team's goals between 16-11 and 21-15.

A new save by Diot, at the buzzer, delighted the crowd who could go and eat with complete confidence (21-15). And there was no point lingering too long at the refreshment bar during the break. Because the FTHB got back into it at full speed, as soon as they returned from the locker room. Lignières added two goals to their tally, Tesio did the same and, after a goal from Leon, the score rose to 26-17 in less than four minutes.

In full control, the locals then put on a show: a roucoulette from Gaillard, a blind shot with a double post going in from Lignières… The supporters were in heaven (29-21).

Nancy then had no solution to reduce the gap. Guillaume Crépain mastered his subject while sending his bench into battle. Delrives put an end to this great evening with a high-quality roucoulette, while Pages made the most of his playing time in goal: 41-34. After three days, the FTHB is undefeated.
