At the opening, Cruzy/Saint-Chinian (first in pool 2 of Regional 3) challenged Beaulieu (first in pool 1 of R3). Beaten two years ago, by Murviel-Thézan, the AOCSC this time made the difference, against Beaulieu. The Lions of the ASB will have to wait a little longer to win a first shield in their young history.

Well launched by a try from its captain Lucas Crusiot in the first moments, the club from the west of Hérault then came back to the boot of its rear Tony Calmel to overcome the Beaulieurois, who, despite the attempts of Sanchez and Teissonnier, were unable to do anything (23-15).

The Shores of Orb held firm

In the process, Plages d’Orb was opposed to Mauguio, for the R1 Reserve final. Quickly trailing 10-3, the Melgoriens relied on Nathan Brial, author of a double to take the lead at the break (13-17). In the second half, a try from Kevin Marin ensured the success of RC Mauguio-Carnon (13-25).

Then to finish, a clash between two neighbors: Orb Beaches and Orb Shores, in Regional 1. In a meeting marked by indiscipline (8 yellow cards), it was Rives d’Orb who got off to the best start (0-8). But Enzo Picarelli, scorer and captain of RCPO responded and put his team in front at the break (9-8).

Adding a penalty at the start of the second act, Picarelli would then witness the turning point of the match. Flanker Mathieu Berlou crossed the line, and his winger Kévin Sire transformed (12-15). In the last twenty minutes, the Rives d’Orb resisted and lifted R1's shield, to everyone's surprise.

This Sunday in Pézenas, the continuation of the Boucliers des Terroirs de l’Hérault, with Bédarieux-Cers PV (Reserve R2 at 2 p.m.) and Bédarieux-Saint-Gély Pic Saint-Loup (Regional 2 at 4 p.m.).
