An investigation was opened after a complaint filed by the new mayor of Pont-Saint-Esprit, for acts of identity theft, during the municipal by-election campaign.

The mayor of Pont-Saint-Esprit, Gérome Bouvier, filed a complaint for identity theft. And an investigation has been opened, confirms the Nîmes prosecutor, Cécile Gensac.

Gérome Bouvier is the new mayor of Pont-Saint-Esprit. His list came first in the first round of these early municipal elections in Pont-Saint-Esprit on April 28.

The new first elected official would have filed a complaint after the discovery of emails which would have been sent, during the electoral campaign, in his name and with the specification that he was a member of the Horizon party.< /p>
