The verdict fell this Tuesday, June 4. A forty-year-old was on trial for complicity in murder after the death of Thierry Rolland, in Beaucaire, on April 1, 2011 and for receiving or concealing a corpse.

Thirteen years after the assassination of Thierry Rolland (in 2011) in Beaucaire, A.K., a forty-year-old appeared this Monday and Tuesday before the Gard Assize Court. He was accused of complicity in murder and for the criminal acts of receiving and concealing a corpse.

Convicted of the crime of hiding a corpse

This man has always contested the facts with which he was accused. Defended by Me Julius Radzio, the forty-year-old was acquitted of complicity in assassination. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison for receiving and concealing a corpse. He walked out of the courthouse free.

In March 2018, Jonathan Merlos was sentenced to 30 years of criminal imprisonment for the assassination of Thierry Rolland. The defense lawyers were unable to obtain a postponement of this case which had already been examined in 201. and postponed. One of the witnesses – a woman – had implicated, A.K. (he was absent at this hearing), explaining that he had accompanied Jonathan Merlos.
