Les 10 milliards d'euros d'économies, annoncés par Bruno Lemaire ce 18 février, afin de limiter les dépenses et réduire le déficit public, viennent d'être actés dans un décret publié au Journal Officiel ce 21 février 2024.

Lower the public deficit to 4.4% of GDP

This Sunday on TF1, the Minister of the Economy announced a new savings plan of around 10 billion euros while reducing by 1 .4% to 1% the growth forecast for France's gross domestic product for the year 2024.

This anticipated growth of 1% of GDP roughly matches the forecasts of the European Commission, the Bank of France and the International Monetary Fund. France is striving to keep its commitment to lower the public deficit to 4.4% of GDP in 2024, an objective confirmed by Bruno Le Maire on Sunday.
