Consumer reminder: be careful if you bought these donuts, you should not eat them

Des donuts au sucre commercialisés dans différentes enseignes, notamment chez Lidl et Aldi, ainsi qu'en boulangerie, sont rappelés par le site gouvernemental Rappel Conso en raison d'un goût et d'une odeur désagréable.

If you have recently purchased donuts, be careful: sugar donuts are recalled by the government website Recall Conso because they emit an unpleasant smell and taste. All brands concerned are supplied by the Belgian group Vandemoortele. These donuts are sold in bakeries, but also in several national stores such as Lidl and Aldi.

An unpleasant smell

All of these recalled donuts were sold between November 1 and February 2 in points of sale throughout France. These products are recalled following a "organoleptic deviation", indicates Rappel Conso. This reason designates a change in the characteristics of the product.

Consumer Recall mentions in particular customer complaints for "unpleasant taste/odor, metallic and acidic aftertaste in the product, whose intensity varies from one batch to another"

If you purchased these donuts, as a precaution, you must stop consuming them and return them to the point of sale in order to obtain a refund.
