The former rugby international died on November 24, 2020 in Saint-Cloud park in Hauts-de-Seine after falling from a 12-meter parapet.

Christophe Dominici was the emblem of French rugby. The international rugby player who had spent a large part of his career at the Stade Français, who had won French championships and V and VI Nations tournaments on several occasions, then converted to be a coach, sports consultant and even carrying a project to buy AS Béziers which did not see the light of day.

The man died suddenly at age 48. It was November 24, 2020 in the Saint-Cloud park in Hauts-de-Seine. The circumstances of his death are dramatic: he fell from a parapet located next to an abandoned building. with a height between 10 and 12 meters.

His companion Loretta Denaro, who cannot get over his death, like his two daughters Kiara, 16 years old, and Mya, 13 years old, has is writing a book "Without Him", which will be published next week. She looks back on the life of the former rugby international, his career, his personal life and the circumstances surrounding his death.

Accident or suicide ?

The investigation carried out to find out the exact circumstances of his death did not make it possible to establish whether it was a accident or suicide. Toxicological analyzes revealed no traces of alcohol or narcotics in the victim's blood.

Certainly the man had reported experiencing a nervous breakdown after the World Cup in 1999. Then, the project to buy AS Béziers had been a failure. Just after in July 2020, he was hospitalized for sleep treatment. "He put so much body and soul into this Béziers project that he didn't sleep. For months", as she reports in an interview with Le Parisien.

She also highlights the "harmful, manipulative people" which he frequented before his death. Moreover, she filed a complaint against them. These include Samir Ben Romdhane, his partner who claimed to be able to buy the Béziers club, and his wife Nadia.

"I attack the lawyer in charge of the case because when you go to see a lawyer, it's “is normally to be protected, advised, and this professional must verify the acts, ensure the origin of the funds”, she had already confided.

"This is an obligation of lawyers and that is why we advised. There would have been no Béziers soap opera and Christophe would still be with us."

But yet, despite her statements, according to her, it is not a suicide.

"No one can know"

Like some of the deceased player's relatives, Loretta Denaro firmly rejects the suicide theory. "No one was there, no one can know what happened in him."

Before adding: "It’is not someone who leaves the house and leaves a note because’ rsquo;he already knows what he's going to do."  For her: "He may have had a delirious burst."
