Serial disappearance of trash containers

#MÉTROPOLE DE MONTPELLIER. 150 complaints filed for theft of garbage containers were recorded, in 2023, by the Castelnau-le-Lez gendarmerie company. In all, around thirty municipalities in the sector have noted this intriguing phenomenon, while the market value of these garbage bins is 90 € for individuals and 150 € for families.

A census was carried out on the Grabels Facebook page, daily, with numerous testimonies, some ludicrous. Video surveillance images show a ripper from Montpellier Métropole throwing a container into the dumpster, where it is immediately crushed. Another allows us to see a container escape from the hands of the agents and fall into the same dumpster. For its part, the Metropolis indicates that it has been informed of the disappearance of several trash containers. However, she claims not to have any elements, at this stage, to explain the cause.

The costume designer of “Shôgun”

#PERPIGNAN. Carlos Rosario, a Catalan who graduated from a fashion school in Paris, but who now lives in Los Angeles, is the author of the approximately 2,300 costumes for the new Disney + series, Shôgun, says The Independent. Contacted in 2021 by the producer, he signed the drawings then took charge of a team of 350 people around the world, as head costume designer.

"The first months were entirely devoted to the first episodes, he explains. These are the most important, you have to set the scene, set the atmosphere. And then, at the beginning, the wardrobes are empty, everything has to be created from scratch." Ten million dollars were spent on these exceptional costumes and sixteen months of work for Carlos Rosario’s team.

The thermal baths are late

#GARD. Due to delays in the renovation project underway for almost two years at the Allègre-les-Fumades thermal baths, their opening to the public has been postponed for several weeks. The opening of the wellness areas and the hotel of the complex, initially scheduled for April 10, is now set for May 21. The spa treatments, which were to begin on May 13, will finally start on June 10. A delay which impacts 182 approved spa guests. "The costs inherent to this postponement will be covered by the Fumades thermal baths", indicates the management of the places.

Stopover in Sète: kick-off of activities this Tuesday

#HERAULT. Due to the bad weather conditions forecast, the opening to the public of Escale à Sète has been postponed until this Tuesday, 2 p.m. This first day will be marked by the inauguration of the villages. At 3 p.m., on the Quai du Maroc, two conferences on the theme If I too dared to set up/work in shellfish farming, then on the feminization of professions in the blue economy. At 3:30 p.m., Algiers quay, clean port operation, then sailing parade and blue ship.

At 6:30 p.m., on the République quay, vocal jousts will take place with the cap of Marin Ponant. Then at 8 p.m., Island Escales concert evening, with Su conzeru Antigu.

The number of the day: 14,000

#NIMES. The Nemausa territorial professional health community brings together 300 liberal health professionals, out of the 1,500 in the Gard prefecture.
