Eurocup: BLMA makes a fantastic comeback against Sassari and qualifies for the quarter-finals

Les Gazelles se sont imposées 79-69 face aux Italiennes de Sassari jeudi 18 janvier malgré le fait qu'elles aient été menées la majorité de la partie. Elles se qualifient donc pour les quarts de finale d'Eurocoupe.

At the end of a fierce and poorly started match, Lattes-Montpellier won 79-69 and qualified for the quarter-finals of the Eurocup.

Leading only 6 minutes 25 out of 40, the Gazelles put in a great performance against the Italians who were playing their own game.

It was upon returning from the locker room, in an explosive second half (46-22) that the BLMA returned to the game thanks to the constant activity of ;rsquo;Alisia Jenkins, author of 23 points and 11 rebounds.

However, the BLMA completely missed out on its first half (33-47) against the Italians, who were particularly successful at three points (8/15).
Very approximate in the first period, the Gazelles exposed themselves to Sassari's counter-attacks with 16 points scored by the visitors following ten lost balls.

Lattes-Montpellier was, however, able to count on the great start to the match from Marième Badiane scoring her team's first ten points (23 in total) while making two counterattacks. Led for three quarters of the game, the BLMA carried out a small Italian-style heist…
