In Nîmes, the Musée de la Romanité announces good attendance figures at the start of the year

Le premier trimestre 2024 est positif pour le site culturel.

The management of the Musée de la Romanité, in Nîmes, announced a positive first quarter with increasing attendance. For the first three months of 2024, 23,151 visitors were recorded, an increase of 9% compared to last year. For the month of March alone, 10,485 entries were recorded. For the Easter weekend, 1 552 visitors came (+ 38 %), proof of the appeal of this site.

According to the Musée de la Romanité team, it was the return of the groups hosted which also made it possible to have these good figures with an increase of 31% compared to March 2023. Privatizations of collections also saw an increase of 18% compared to the previous year.

Nearly 20% foreign visitors

Nearly 20% of visitors come from abroad, mainly Swiss, Spanish, Belgians, Germans and British. On social networks, good numbers are also there with a community of 25,000 members.

And this improvement should continue with the new exhibition "Achilles and the Trojan War" which will begin on April 26.
