La Vaillante shone during interdepartmental meetings

Chicks, youngest and youngest on the podium in Beaucaire.

The La Vaillante gymnastics club recently participated in the Gard and Hérault interdepartmentals which took place in Beaucaire. Four teams – chicks, juniors, minis and Fed’Oc (over 10 years) – defended the club’s colors with some success. Note that they had obtained their qualifications in March in Saint-Jean-de-Védas. Indeed, the juniors and over 10 years old had won the departmental title while the chicks were 2nd and the youngest 3rd.

In Beaucaire, the day of competition took place allowed the juniors to climb to the highest step of the podium, while the youngest shoots and the youngest placed 2nd. The next day, the Fed’Oc team, made up of Ilsa Mosconi, Alexia Maillet, Laura Hainsselin, Louna Ferdier and Mathilde Pontfort, won the cup in turn.

"They did better than I expected, congratulates their coach Lori Gil. But it reflects well on their work throughout the season. They were scored on the floor, bar, beam and vault events. And even if we had to face a last minute withdrawal among the chicks, the girls managed their stress and the challenges well", concluded the coach of the deserving young athletes.
