Arrivé d’Oyonnax cet été, Domingo Miotti est le premier Argentin du MHR depuis de longues années. Il a réussi son premier test le week-end dernier contre Perpignan (7-26).

Reassuring

The international (10 caps), for his first appearance in the MHR jersey, reassured everyone. 14 points, 4/4 on foot including two fifty-meter penalties in the corner, a drop, 19 tackles, an interesting animation despite two direct kicks into touch… Domingo did the job.

A reassuring dilemma for the staff. After the premature departures of Louis Carbonel and Louis Foursans this summer, and of Paolo Garbisi earlier in the season, the fly-half position was left vacant. The performance of the two recruits on the first two days allows us to see what is coming, knowing that Stuart Hogg can also help out.

The only problem for Miotti is his non-jiff status (player from the French team). Especially since the three-quarter line is full of foreigners (Hogg, Tambwe, Serfontein, Reinach, Moorby). The team lined up against Stade Toulousain on Saturday will be closely scrutinized.
