“My heart stopped”: their 2-year-old daughter is caught by a giraffe during a trip to the zoo, parents in shock

The facts occurred on June 5, 2024, in the United States. A giraffe at a Texas wildlife park brutally grabbed a two-year-old girl, in front of her frightened parents. The father recounts the mishap.

A family trip that they won't soon forget. Daisley Toten's father, Jason, was scared to death when he saw his two-year-old daughter grabbed by a giraffe.

A brutal encounter

"We stopped to feed the giraffes and I turned to look out the back window. That's when I saw the giraffe rummaging around, then grabbing it, Jason explained to CBS KWTX, relayed by & ;nbsp;Le journal du Québec. The mammal grabbed young Paisley by her shirt before lifting her into it  rsquo;air.

More fear than harm

Luckily for Paisley, her mother, who was by her side, immediately started screaming at the top of her lungs. An action which would have encouraged the giraffe to let go of the child, without hurting him. "My heart stopped, my stomach gave out. I was scared, confides Mr. Toten. The latter also assured that the members of his family did not break any rules of the animal park, respecting the requested distances with each animal.

A story that will likely traumatize the family, although Paisley was able to leave with a stuffed giraffe, as a symbol.
