Suspected of revenge, the influencer arrested

#MONTPELLIER This Monday, August 5, the influencer Aurélie Preston was arrested in Montpellier where she lives with two other people.

She was taken into custody in connection with a case of theft and kidnapping committed in Versailles (Yvelines). The former reality TV candidate is“suspected of having ordered a very violent kidnapping at the home of a member of her ex-boyfriend's family”, according to BFMTV.

The victim is the brother of one of the young woman's exes. He was attacked at home by three individuals who tied him up to rob him. Investigators have made the connection with the influencer who is angry with her former partner, a dentist in Switzerland, who allegedly trashed her mouth. A loss that she estimates at more than 100,000 euros, according to the news channel. The police custody could be extended until Thursday.

At 16, he sets off on foot for Brittany for a good cause

#GARD It has been over a week since Clovis Boularne, 16, from Générarguais, set off on foot from Alès to Brittany. An extraordinary challenge with only a few kilometres hitchhiked and a few nights spent at locals' houses as a rest. Despite the physical fatigue of the first few days and a constant search for a roof and food, Clovis will never give up. I will continue the project until the end, I have no choice!"

During his journey, Clovis set himself the goal of collecting as many donations as possible for the League against cancer. He regularly posts his adventure on social networks, until the project goes viral. "I have been contacted by the media, I have sponsors, and even a person who will take care of my communication."

Faced with ticketing difficulties, Palmarosa slashes prices

#MONTPELLIER Palmarosa, which is held from August 23 to 25 at the Domaine de Grammont, has launched a vast promotional operation to attract 8,000 festival-goers each evening. “Behind ticketing forecasts”, as its director John Bertrand indicated, the Montpellier event has decided to “take on one of the biggest challenges in its history ".

And decided to slash its prices! The ticket increases to 39.14 € the evening instead of 60 €, the two-day pass drops to 75.19 € and 108.15 € for the three days of the festival. Palmarosa has not forgotten those who have already purchased their tickets. As compensation, the difference will be transformed into dematerialized credit usable on the entire site.

This "cashless" payment will be possible using a bracelet. The organizers hope that this big financial boost will make it possible to reach 18,000 seats sold. "Producing a completely independent festival is a challenge that becomes harder. But we want to defend this virtuous model (only 3.16% of Palmarosa's budget relies on private sponsors) and above all to sustainably implement the meeting."

Marine heatwave: "no impact" on the Thau pond

#HERAULTClaire Nouvian, founder of the NGO Bloom, which works for marine conservation, warns of the consequences of an abnormal marine heatwave. “The Mediterranean basin is warming 20% faster than other bodies of water on Earth” she explained on RTL.

Asked about the threat this season to shellfish production in the Thau basin, the president of the regional shellfish farming committee wants to be reassuring. “We are working closely with Ifremer on the subject. This year, however, the climatic parameters are much more favorable. There will be no impact, the indicators are green. Neither toxic algae, which are natural, nor jellyfish, will disrupt the production and quality of shellfish."

Today's figure: 26,181,999

#HAUTES-PYRÉNÉES A couple of holidaymakers won the sum of 26,181,999 euros with a Euromillions flash grid validated on July 19 in Bagnères-de-Bigorre, reports La Dépêche du Midi. This very close couple admits to having "hard time realizing" when it came time to collect their winnings at the premises of La Française des Jeux.

Players for over twenty years and particularly loyal to the Loto and Euromillions draw games, they are used to playing a flash grid with their tobacconist, in addition to an FDJ subscription. "It was unreal. We slept with the winning ticket but we also took it to the beach with us and we had to take turns swimming."
These two lucky people are going to spoil their loved ones but also repay their loans and do some work on their house.
