ProD2: Grenoble shows the way to Béziers by qualifying for the final thanks to an exploit on the Provence Rugby field

Les Grenoblois ont arraché leur ticket pour la finale de ProD2, jeudi 30 mai, sur le terrain d’un Provence Rugby jusque-là invaincu à domicile.

Grenoble showed the way to Béziers. The Isérois achieved the feat by winning their ticket for the ProD2 final on the Provence Rugby field, beaten 23-22 on Thursday. A performance from which the Biterrois will have to draw inspiration this Friday in Vannes (9 p.m.), during the other semi-final.

Leader of the regular phase, Provence Rugby had never fallen this season in 14 matches on its lawn in Aix-en-Provence. Despite three attempts registered on Thursday, it's done.

Davies, a drop and 18 points

The Grenoblois' fault. A week after their victorious barrage against Dax (58-10), the Isérois responded with a try from Farissier. But the best attack in the division is above all handed to the 18 points and the foot of Sam Davies. The Welsh opener notably scored a drop of around thirty meters in the 55th minute to put his partners into orbit.

Qualified for its third final, the second in a row, Grenoble is now waiting to know the identity of its opponent Saturday June 8 (5:30 p.m.) , at the Ernest-Wallon stadium in Toulouse. But he showed the example to follow in Béziers.
