Shooting in Montpellier: security guards at the L’Entrepôt à Lattes nightclub targeted by two hooded and armed individuals

Les faits se sont produits ce vendredi 3 mai aux alentours de 23 heures. Aucun blessé n’est à déplorer mais on est passé très proche d’un drame.

It was a real assassination attempt which took place this Friday, May 3, around 11 p.m. in front of the L’Entrepôt nightclub, located at 4 rue du Puech-Radier in Slats.

According to our information, two individuals, with masked faces, arrived in a hurry at the wheel of a white Peugeot 308. The two immediately went out and fired, each with a weapon, targeting four security guards who were standing in front of the entrance door to the establishment.

Around fifteen shots in total

By a miracle, no one was injured. The two suspects then jumped into their vehicle and fled, chased by the bouncers. Just before leaving this industrial zone, the driver stalled, got out of the car and once again fired all guns at his pursuers. Again, without touching them.

In total, according to witnesses, around fifteen shots were fired that evening. Several parked vehicles reportedly had bullet holes, as did the metal entrance door to the establishment. Numerous 9mm cases were also found on the ground by investigators from the interdepartmental directorate of the national police. As for the vehicle, it was discovered, shortly after, in the town of Saint-Jean-de-Védas, completely charred.

A dispute going back a week

Notified, the prosecution contacted the Interdepartmental Judicial Police Service to carry out the investigation. According to initial investigations, this punitive expedition could result from a dispute with individuals which broke out a week ago in the parking lot of the nightclub.

This would be followed by death threats made on the social network Snapchat. Is there a causal link between these two cases?? An investigation is underway to try to resolve the gray areas and identify the two perpetrators.
