This Friday, July 26, 2024, the SNCF networks were hit by a “massive attack” that paralyzed an entire part of its rail network. Stranded at Paris Montparnasse station, a young man was forced to follow his friends' wedding by videoconference. He tells us.

A few hours before the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, an attack targeting the SNCF caused the cancellation of many trains. Alexandre, met at the Paris Montparnasse station by our colleagues from BFMTV, found himself stranded.

The young man was due to go to Poitiers to attend his friends' wedding ceremony. But like many others, his train was cancelled and he found himself stuck in the capital.

He tried to rent a car but the price was too high. “Is it full or super expensive”, he explains to our colleagues.

After searching for a long time, he finally found a solution: “I managed to get a car from people who are there and who were supposed to go back to Paris this evening”, the Parisian tells our colleagues.

Thanks to this, he will normally be able to attend “the secular ceremony” of his friends,“and the little party that will follow”.
