The repair work on the TGV lines sabotaged this Friday, July 26, has been completed, we learned on July 28, 2024.

SNCF announced this Sunday that the repair work on the high-speed lines after a series of acts of sabotage is “completely completed” and that “there will be no further disruption” for travelers “from Monday morning”.

The sabotage has caused massive chaos in the stations since Friday at the peak of attendance for departures and returns from summer vacations, and just a few hours before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris.

What traffic this Monday?

"Thanks to the exceptional mobilization of SNCF Réseau agents who have worked tirelessly since Friday morning, the repair work is now completely finished on all lines at high speed affected by acts of sabotage", reports SNCF on Sunday.

"The test phases were conclusive and the lines are now usable normally", is added.

This Sunday, the situation on the Atlantic axis is "almost normal" and "3 TGVs out of 4" run on the North axis, “Without any increase in journey times from now on”, SNCF specifies in a press release.

“From Monday morning, there will be no more disruption”, assures the public railway company.

Signed “An unexpected delegation”

This is a sabotage operation “Well prepared”, organized by a "same structure", indicated a source close to the investigation opened by the Paris prosecutor's office.

A message of support for the sabotage was received Saturday by several media outlets. Signed "an unexpected delegation", it justifies the actions and criticizes the Olympic Games by resorting to a dialectic used by the militants of the anarchist ultra-left.

However, no details on the actions carried out are provided. So, according to a source close to the case, it is not “a claim strictly speaking”, but rather a message of support for the sabotage, to congratulate oneself on it.

Samples taken from the various locations were sent to experts from the National Gendarmerie Criminal Research Institute (IRCGN) for urgent analysis, added a source close to the case.
