After the scanner was replaced in February 2023, the Millau hospital installed a new MRI. Two ultrasound machines and a mammogram must also be renewed.

Before the inauguration of the facilities on May 16, the Millau hospital has just announced the installation of an MRI "latest cry" to strengthen its medical imaging platform already established &quot ;a bone densitometer, a dental panoramic, a cone beam", and a scanner replaced in February 2023.

In a few months, the renewal of the two ultrasound machines as well as the mammograph (tomosynthesis, angiomammography) should follow. "Without forgetting the implementation place of artificial intelligence software for reading standard x-rays already carried out."

From a corner of blue sky in a horizon marked by the eddies which still agitate the staff of the establishment today – like their Saint-Affrican counterparts – who still fear that the construction of the joint hospital announced for 2028 will only serve to devitalize current hospitals."

"This cutting-edge equipment guarantees precise and rapid diagnoses, thus improving the quality of care offered to our patients, s&amp ;rsquo;is for its part congratulated the Millavois establishment. As a result, patients in the South Aveyron area have access to the same equipment, the same professionals and with the same procedures for use as at the Montpellier University Hospital."

New dynamic of collaboration

As a result of the collaboration between the Millavois establishment and the Montpellier University Hospital, united within the Health Cooperation Group (CCS), the realization of the project is also due to the investment by Pr Ingrid Millet, head of the radiology department at Montpellier University Hospital.

"This strategic alliance allows us to expand the range of care on very specific examinations supervised by professors from the CHU, but also in the framework of permanent care. It thus ensures continuous access to radiology services for all patients and allows interventional radiology procedures to be carried out, reminded the management.

A collaboration finally materializes with the arrival of Professor Nicolas Menjot-Dechampfleur "who has solid experience at the Montpellier and Nîmes University Hospitals and brings valuable expertise to our team. Its new perspective promises to further expand the range of cutting-edge radiology care for local users."
