Strike on Thursday January 25: the list of Sète schools impacted by the national movement

Des perturbations sont à prévoir ce jeudi 25 janvier 2024 dans l'emploi du temps de certaines écoles sétoises. Voici ce qu'il faut savoir.

This Thursday, it's strike! Partly in reaction to the controversial remarks of the new Minister of National Education Amélie Oudéa-Castera and to protest against the working conditions of the teaching staff, many unions launched a national call for a strike to this January 25.

The Fnec-FP-FO (National Federation of Education, Culture and Professional Training of Force Ouvrière) denounces in particular an "unbearable contempt& quot; and calls for "to demonstrate under the windows" of the ministry.

The list of disturbances

Thus, many teachers or school staff members across France will not work on Thursday. This is also the case in Sète. And this will cause disruptions in the city's schools.

First point, the operation of any school in Sète will not be impacted. However, there will be no catering, no meal taken from the bag, no after-school reception, morning, noon and evening, in the Agnès Varda, Eugénie Cotton, Louis Blanc and Michelet nursery schools, and Lakanal, Renaissance, Arago, Jean Macé, Paul Bert and Langevin (only at lunchtime and in the evening for the last one). The rest of the educational establishments should not be impacted in the slightest way, unless there is a last minute change.

The City therefore invites "parents to make their own arrangements".
