Le Poufre likes it, this little boat that landed a month ago at the port of Sète. With its blue hull and its white wheelhouse, it reminds him of the Volkswagen Combi which dropped anchor by the thousand on the sands of Sète in the 1960s, a time when the town had up to seven campsites!

We're getting lost… Because the subject that concerns him today does not concern the holidays, but rather the lessons given at the Lycée de la Mer Paul Bousquet. Since “Captain Pesqui”- that’s his name – is a hybrid and eco-designed ship intended for the establishment’s students. A little gem of technology which cannot yet reach its home port, due to the risk of excessive silting.

In short, it's either make or break. But at 1,110,000 € the canoe, the risk is taken very seriously. The solution ? A dredging effort in the access pass to the small port of Barrou (under the supervision of the Department) which would open the way to the Lycée de la Mer (under the supervision of the Region). Between institutions, we exchange and debate. But we have difficulty deciding who will finance it!

Unless Captain Pesqui takes advantage of the first intervention of the new virtuous hydrogen dredger, expected in Sète during the week. Given its size, the Poufre doubts it…
