Scotland put in the spotlight by musicians

A concert that clearly sets the course for Scotland! In the summer of 1829, Mendelssohn undertook a trip there and fell in love with the austere and misty beauty of the country, its history and its customs. The Isle of Staffa and its famous Fingal's Cave inspired the Lonely Island Overture.
Visiting the ruins of the chapel where Mary Stuart was crowned, the dashing young composer conceived the beginning of his radiant Symphony n° 3 in A minor Scottish opus 56, completed in Italy, in sun-drenched latitudes. The musical result is dazzling.

Prices: adult, 15 € and 12 €, reduced; child, 6 €. Reservation, at 04 66 45 23 60 or www.lagenetteverte.fr
