An afternoon 4-on-4 volleyball tournament was organized at the Golf Club in Millau this Friday.

"It’It’s a treat that the Golf and the MJC of Millau have joined forces for this event". The words of Arnaud Henichart, member of the Millau volleyball club and one of the organizers of this sports day at the Golf café, testify to the success of this moment.

This Friday, the restaurant's two volleyball courts welcomed sixteen teams of four players, ready to do battle. An initiative from the City on the occasion of the Citizens' Olympic Games launched as part of the activities linked to the hosting of the Olympic torch relay which will pass through Millau on Monday.

Four places for the Olympic Games

While the morning was intended for a sporting initiation, the afternoon allowed those registered to compete against each other during group matches. It allows us to rotate more quickly and to string matches together, explains Christophe Bonhomme, member of the volleyball club and organizer. "< em>In Millau this is the only place where you can play beach volleyball. The other terrains are not passable", adds Arnaud Henichart.
