Two scooter drivers arrested on stolen machines Friday evening in Montpellier

Les deux conducteurs ont tenté de prendre la fuite pour se soustraire à des contrôles de police. Le premier à La Mosson, le second dans le quartier des Aiguerelles.

Two men who were riding a scooter this Saturday morning, around 1 a.m. in rue des Muscaris, in Aiguerelles, made the mistake of running a red light in front of a patrol of the Bac. They then tried to flee aboard their 125 cc machine. They were finally intercepted while trying to flee on foot. The two-wheeler turned out to be stolen.

A shot gun

During the chase one of the two individuals took a shotgun. The driver, a 17-year-old from Montpellier, was the subject of legal proceedings and received a summons to appear before the children's judge. His passenger, however, was not worried. 

In another similar case, the police intervened on Friday evening around 9 p.m. in Allée de la Pinède in La Mosson. They arrested a scooter rider who had just escaped a municipal police check. The device also turned out to be stolen. The driver, aged 20, was summoned to court in September.
