Près d’un an et demi après l’incendie, le gérant Omar Harati a trouvé la force de repartir.

After a devastating fire on December 31, 2022, the OTM butchery, a well-known business in Sète run by Omar Harati, celebrated its reopening on May 1 in a new premises, now located at 4 quai de la République. The fire in question started in the premises of the former butcher's shop, Place Delille, before spreading to adjacent buildings, requiring the evacuation of nineteen people. Fortunately, without causing any casualties.

Omar Harati expresses his emotion: "My family and people in the community all helped me bounce back. There was real solidarity after the fire, with everyone checking in on me and offering help. They gave me the courage to start again and continue to show their support, coming in large numbers from the opening. It touches me deeply and warms my heart."

The new space, with an area of ​​390 m2, has been transformed into a mini-market, with a halal butcher, oriental supermarket, fruits and vegetables, bazaar, and bakery. "We want to make this place a space of sharing and conviviality for our customers. Our store aspires to become more than just a place to buy: a true meeting place for the neighborhood."
