VivaTech 2024: the 8th edition gives pride of place to international… and regional start-ups

The eighth edition of the VivaTech show, which opens this May 22 at Porte de Versailles in Paris, brings together the world of European and global innovation. but also of the Region, with the announced visit of its president Carole Delga, and around thirty local companies on its stand.

Following a record edition last year, which notably recorded 150,000 professional and public entries (a record for the show, and received Elon Musk in person, the first event French tech industry is preparing for a new year, like every year, the VivaTech show will take place in Paris at the Parc-Expo Porte de Versailles, and will be held from May 22 to 25 (public day). due to the Olympics, the show is usually held in June.

Receiving Japan as a guest country, which will of course present its start-ups and projects, this edition will focus on four themes. AI of course, present in the minds and offers of all the international start-ups present, but also impact and environmental sustainability, which also occupy many of the solutions presented, mobility, and sportech, which will present tech solutions for sports practices. Many other themes will be covered in conferences and on company stands.

Like every year, the eighth edition of VivaTech will offer numerous conference events, hosted by distinguished guests known to everyone. Thus, the sisters Serena and Venus Williams will speak on May 24, at the end of the professional days, and will speak alongside the CEO of the French investment platform Shares.

The show will receive, like every year, several political guests. In addition to the traditional visit of Secretary of State for Digital Marina Ferrari, the show will welcome two key European elected officials, Thierry Berton, European Commissioner for the Internal Market, and Charles Michel, President of the European Council. The two will be joined by an American, John Kerry, former United States senator, former secretary of state under President Obama, and former special envoy in charge of the fight against global warming for President Biden.< /p>

Via its Ad’Occ agency for economic development, the Region will support 28 regional start-ups, and will present them on a traditional stand of 150 m2. For the first time, the Region will see the visit of its President, Carole Delga, who will be accompanied by the Vice-President of the Region for Economy and Employment, Jalil Benabdillah.

The Occitanie region will be represented on the numerous stands of its partners by around a hundred regional innovation players. Sustainable mobility, climate tech and artificial intelligence are among the major themes of the Region for its representation at the show.
