“We are completely transforming history”: Jonathann Daval files a complaint for defamation against his ex-in-law

This Monday, February 19, 2024, Jonathann Daval filed a complaint for defamation against his ex-in-law following certain comments made in Canal +, devoted to the affair.

From his prison, Jonathann Daval, the one who is locked up for the murder of his partner Alexia, filed a complaint, through his lawyer Me Randall Schwerdorffer, this Monday at the ;meeting his former in-laws. These were comments made by the victim's mother and sister in a Canal + series, devoted to the case, which caused the murderer to file a complaint for defamation, according to information from RTL.

A "new version"

"Alexia, our daughter"is a series which looks back on the affair and death of Alexia Daval, killed in 2017 by her partner. It's the fourth episode in particular that poses a problem. In it, Isabelle and Stéphanie Fouillot, respectively the mother and sister of the deceased, delivered a "unpublished version" , in particular by targeting "unequivocally Jonathann Daval d& rsquo;deliberately poisoned his wife to cause the miscarriage suffered by Alexia Daval", indicates the Huffington Post.

But the theory of what was supposed to drive her crazy, that is to say intentional poisoning, was ruled out at the time of the trial before the Assize Court of Vesoul in Haute-Saône, where he was sentenced to twenty- five years of criminal imprisonment for murder, and not assassination, since premeditation was not found.

Contacted by RTL, Me Randall Schwerdorffer believes that this is a "series of disinformation complete on the Daval affair". "We invent things to further darken the picture, to create another media story, alongside the judicial truth. We are completely transforming history. It's no longer the same scope in terms of the file", he continued

But the war between the two families continues: the next meeting will be on April 10, Jonathann Daval will have to face a new court, after the accusations of defamation, of his former brother-in-law, where he targeted him as responsible for the murder by Alexia.

Jonathann Daval, was sentenced to 25 years of imprisonment for the murder of his wife Alexia, whose disappearance he had staged after an imaginary jog in Gray, in Haute-Saône, in October 2017. He then played the grieving widower for three months. 

Her mother, Martine Henry, told her story in a book entitled "Me, mother of Jonathann", published by Michalon. His son is incarcerated at the Ensisheim power plant, in Haut-Rhin. A prison where several serial killers are also incarcerated such as Patrice Alègre, Francis Heaulme and Guy Georges, with whom he regularly drinks coffee, reports Le Parisien.
