At the trial of Samire Lymani, tried for the murder of Aurélie Vaquier, his former partner, before the Hérault assizes, the accused was questioned at length this Monday, January 15.

On all the points that accuse him of having killed the victim. The results ? The forty-year-old continues to deny everything he is accused of: having asphyxiated the victim before burying him under the grave. a concrete slab. All parties questioned him.

1. Facing the president: "It's not up to me to lead the investigation"

President Sylvie Gossent questions the accused Lymani on several crucial points which implicate Samire Lymani in the murder of his ex-partner. For example, the concrete slab, under the platform, where the body of the deceased was found on April 7, 2021 at the home of Bédarieux (Hérault).

The accused did work under the platform in January, then in mid-February to pass a pipe there, the body having been buried in this concrete sarcophagus in the meantime.

"The second time, you didn'not see that there was a slab ?" the president is surprised.

"No not at all, I wasn't paying attention. When I do work, it's firecrackers and beer" replies the accused.

He is in difficulty on several points but evades: "If I'm here it's because we took the wrong route, we lost a lot of time. It's not up to me to lead the investigation."

2. Facing the civil parties. "I hope he gets a lot of time in prison"

My Félix Allary and Teissedre, lawyers for the civil parties, then confront him with his contradictions. On the number of keys as well as on the telephone messages sent.

"A lot of people will have trusted, they have been betrayed, the family would really like you to explain what happened" they assert.

"Even if I admit, I would have to invent a story! He killed Aurélie and buried her at our house!" says Lymani, talking about a mysterious killer from outside.

"You risk getting a lot of time in prison.." continue the civil parties.

"I hope it takes lots and lots and lots!" the accused loses his temper.

The lawyers insist and suggest an argument and especially his guilt.

"You guys are crazy, completely crazy!".

3. Facing the general advocate:   "You didn'not see that someone had made cement ?"

Lymani continues to answer as best he can. But Attorney General Damien Kincher raises several other crucial points that incriminate the accused.

For example his DNA found on the tarpaulin in which the body was located.

"This tarpaulin was yours ?". "I suppose” replies Lymani, referring to the other DNA found and unidentified.

The prosecution is also surprised that an outside killer came to kill the victim and then uses Lymani's work tools to carry out the concrete slab which was used to hide the body of Aurélie Vaquier, before leaving.

"When you came home from vacation, you didn't see that someone had made cement and transported your tools ?".

"The tools, I didn'not pay attention".

"But there was no more sandbag, that didn't shock you ?" insists the general advocate.

"Maybe they didn't use the ones I had at my house.." tempts the accused.

"So they came with bags" concludes the public prosecutor.

The verdict is expected Tuesday January 16.
