A gathering of the inter-union CGT, CFDT and Solidaires at the Béziers Labor Exchange to say “No to war”

L’intersyndicale CGT, CFDT et Solidaires a appelé à la paix ce lundi 3 juin, à 18 h, à la Bourse du travail, à Béziers.

At the call of the Biterroise inter-union CGT, CFDT, Solidaires, supported by the Peace Movement, a rally took place in the courtyard of the Labor Exchange, in Béziers, Monday June 3 , at 6 p.m. In the presence, among others, of Julien Rader, CGT Béziers general secretary, Françoise Le Bris, for Solidaires, and Carole Tarbouriech, for the CFDT. The activists thus wanted to say "No to war", "to all wars"  and not only that which pits Israel against Hamas, and pay tribute to the victims.

Exchanges and critiques

At the microphone, Julien Rader recalled that the three unions met recently "to take stock of current events  quot;, "discuss the various conflicts taking place in the world and the number of victims", "discuss the installation of a new bust on the Place du 14-July of an Israeli soldier victim of the attacks organized by Hamas on July 7  last October". For the inter-union, it is a "provocation". "We are used to the mayor's calls."

L’inter-union indicated that they were continuing to exchange views, gather together and demonstrate to call for ceasefires and peace in the world. "Because no social struggles without peace."

The next rally for a ceasefire in Palestine will take place on Saturday June 8, at 7 p.m., in front of the municipal theater.
