Un septuagénaire d’Escragnolles a été arrêté et placé en garde à vue pour avoir vendu et cultivé des plants de cannabis chez lui.

38 cannabis plants were discovered in the home of a septuagenarian near Grasse, reports Nice Matin. On September 7, while a brigade of the Alpes-Maritimes gendarmerie was patrolling in Escragnolles, they noticed a strong smell of cannabis coming from a shed located on private land.

On site the next day, the soldiers discovered that the man had nearly 40 cannabis plants, 76g of cannabis resin and 5g of grass. To make matters worse, he also had an undeclared shotgun and ammunition.

The man was taken into custody

The 72-year-old man was taken into custody and admitted during his hearing to selling and consuming narcotics. He will be summoned before the Grasse court on December 19th for an appearance on prior admission of guilt (CRPC).

A consumer who was on site at the time of the search will also be summoned for the delivery of a criminal penalty order.
